ASRY (Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard) is the Arabian Gulf’s leading maritime repair and fabrication facility. Founded in 1977 in Bahrain, the multi-service yard operates in four sectors – Ship Repair & Conversion, Rig Repair & Conversion, Naval Repair & Conversion, and Fabrication & Engineering.

ASRY’s variety of facilities, from graving dock to floating dock, to slipways, to 4km of alongside berth space, means maximum flexibility in accommodating ship schedules.

Single Location

Every major repair sub-contractor, classification society, and specialist workshop has an on-site presence at ASRY so that any repair requirements can be met without delay.

Leading Turnaround

Bahrain’s trade policies mean that importing and exporting parts and labour is quicker and more efficient than regional yards, meaning faster turnaround for all repair projects.

ASRY Nominated for Leading Pandemic Response

ASRY, the Arabian Gulf’s leading maritime repair and fabrication facility, has been chosen as a Finalist for the Pandemic Response Award at the upcoming Seatrade Maritime Awards MEISA – set to take place virtually from Dubai. The yard was nominated above dozens of other regional players in recognition of maintaining zero cases in the yard for 88 days from the first case in Bahrain; and for the company-wide response in reducing the time to peak cases to only 7 days; and for being the only Middle East shipyard to successfully get governmental approval to allow crew changes; and for continuing operations so that every customer requirement throughout the year was honoured.

The Seatrade Maritime Awards are designed to celebrate and reward excellence and innovation in the maritime sector across the region over the previous 12 months. Widely recognised as one of the region’s most prestigious industry awards, an independent judging panel made up of experts in the regional and international maritime industry will select the award recipients at each event.
